| Background
Ann Jenkins is a native of Duluth, Minnesota. She received a BFA degree in painting from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 1966, a graduate degree in Library Science from Western Michigan University in 1968, and did field work at Frick Art Reference Library, New York.. She did further study at the University of Oslo International Summer School, and at the Santa Fe Institute of Fine Arts Masters Program in 1993 where she worked with landscape painter Wolf Kahn. Ann Jenkins' work has been exhibited at a number of galleries and museums in Minnesota, Canada, and Sweden. In addition, her work has been reproduced as cover art for a number of publications including Shennandoah and The Women's Great Lakes Reader. Ann lives in Duluth with her husband and son.
